The Essential Travel Toiletries for the Modern Man

Whether you travel for business or pleasure (or a bit of both!), you know that taking toiletries with you can be a bit of a headache, especially if you’re flying. What with hand-luggage regulations and bag size restrictions it may seem easier to check your bag into the hold, but that can be costly, and of course you have to rely on your bag reaching your destination, intact. Oh and then you have to wait for it to be unloaded, standing around in the bleak baggage collection area, where it’s easy to lose all hope of ever seeing the light of day again. So fellas, what toiletries do you really need to take with you when you’re travelling? We’ve done our research, and have come up with a definitive list of the essential travel toiletries for the modern man.

What you really need:

LIQUIDS

Non -Liquid

Shampoo

Toothbrush

Shower Gel

Razor (Manual or electric)

Toothpaste

Sponge/Body Puff/Flannel

Deodorant

Cotton Buds

Facial Moisturiser

Nail clippers/scissors

After-Shave/ Eau De Cologne (get yourself an atomiser, they're brilliant!)

Pain killers

Hair Product

Plasters

Sun Cream (Real men DON’T get sunburn)

Dental Floss

Shaving Gel - if you use it, obviously.

Condoms

  1. Don’t take full-size ANYTHING with you. It takes up space, and you can (usually) purchase more when you arrive at your destination.
  2. Pack ALL LIQUIDS in an airport-security approved clear plastic bag (even if you’re not flying) at the top of your case. This makes it convenient to get at when you reach the scanners AND prevents any possibility of a leak ruining your clothes.

To make life, and packing even easier (and cheaper), we have already put together some great packs of toiletries:

These all come packed in the obligatory airport-security-approved clear plastic bag, so you can just stuff them straight into your case. You’re welcome.
